Pressing%20a%20few%20thousand%20pairs%20of%20badass%20touring%20skis%20over%20the%20years%2C%20we’ve%20learned%20a%20thing%20or%20two%20–%20all%20that%20knowledge%20led%20us%20to%20the%20Deathwish%20Tour%20104.%20Built%20for%20big%20days%2C%20multi-mile%20approaches%2C%20crushing%20vert%20following%20type-2-fun-junkies%20to%20God%20knows%20where%2C%20corn%20harvests%20on%20your%20favorite%20volcanoes%20and%20all%20of%20the%20shark-fin-infested%20ridgeline%20traverses%20that%20go%20along%20with%20it.%20The%20104%20packs%20all%20the%20versatility%20of%20its%20wider%20brother%20into%20a%20more%20agile%20package%20for%20more%20grip%20on%20the%20skinner%2C%20more%20suspension%2C%20and%20more%20composure%20for%20teeth-rattling%20windboard%20descents%20when%20you%20get%20the%20timing%20wrong.%20The%20worse%20the%20conditions%2C%20the%20more%20it%20REALLY%20shines.%20European%20beech%20stringers%20and%20a%20healthy%20dose%20of%20Triple%20Camber%2C%20the%20104%20stuns%20with%20how%20damp%20and%20substantial%20it%20feels%20for%20how%20light%20and%20whippable%20it%20is.%20Impressively%20composed%20from%20drop-in%20to%20runout%20–%20something%20you%20may%20not%20notice%20as%20much%20on%20turn%20one%2C%20but%20deeply%20appreciate%20when%20you%20hit%20the%20cat%20track%20back%20to%20the%20yurt%20after%20your%20third%20thigh-burning%20multi-thousand-foot%20descent%20of%20the%20day.%20A%20touch%20more%20rearward%20mount%20and%20tighter%20dual-radius%20sidecut%20than%20its%20wider%20counterpart%2C%20it%20kick-turns%20all%20that%20much%20easier%20on%20the%20up%20and%20drives%20that%20much%20harder%20on%20the%20down%20–%20as%20if%20you%20needed%20any%20more%20encouragement.%20The%20numbers%20don’t%20lie.%20Our%20best%20selling%20touring%20ski%20of%20all%20time%20had%20to%20take%20a%20backseat%20–%20right%20behind%20its%20little%20brother.%20For%20good%20reason%2C%20there’s%20very%20little%20the%20104%20doesn’t%20do%20well.%20When%20you’re%20way%20out%20there%20(we%20mean%20WAY%20out%20there)%2C%20you%20never%20know%20what%20to%20expect%2C%20and%20it’s%20pretty%20nice%20knowing%20that%20come%20what%20may%2C%20what’s%20on%20your%20feet%20will%20get%20it%20done.%20One%20less%20thing%20to%20worry%20about%20and%20one%20less%20excuse%20holding%20you%20back%20–%20assuming%20you%20can%20keep%20up.
