The result is a lightweight, breathable layer that excels at most outdoor pursuits.Im a big fan of the cut of this jacket. The offset elasticated cuffs minimise cold drafts from entering the jacket and layer well over gloves without being constrictive. The hem of the jacket can be cinched with a simple internal drawcord, which I like as it prevents the cord from being snagged or caught on branches or rocks.Being synthetic, its insulating value is not compromised by dampness, so it’s ideal for pulling on during the day if conditions are worsening and getting colder or windier. Older models of the Fireball Jacket suffered a little because the insulation wasn’t breathable. You could get sweat building up while working hard – this latest version uses breathable insulation.
