They are a true, dedicated hiking sandal. They have two adjustable straps, one above the toes, and one across the top of the foot, to keep the foot in place, so you get a precise, custom fit that holds well. The snap buckle is solid, making donning and doffing these sandals quick. The spacer mesh offers a lot of cushioning and breathability, so they are very comfortable against bare skin, dont make your feet too hot, and dry incredibly quickly.The EVA midsole is well cushioned and moulded to form a comfortable, secure footbed. The 8mm drop means these are an excellent choice to cover some miles in, not just to slip on around camp.I wouldnt go mountain climbing in them, but I think these would be brilliant on a multi-day hike if you had a long section of road walking.
