At 333g for a Medium, its light but still manages to hold warmth where needed without overheating. The grid fleece is noticeably more breathable than standard R1 fabric, and the lighter panels under the arms and on the sides help dump excess heat fast. I find it works well under and when worn asd an outer on warmer days. The chest and hand pockets sit high enough to stay usable with a hipbelt, and the inner stash pockets are genuinely useful for gloves or a filter. The fit is close but not restrictive; the collar is high, and it does a good job of retaining heat when needed.
