Comes with a stuff sack with an integrated pump which has been updated to make it easier to use.Mountain Equipment says:A synthetically insulated sleeping mat that gives high levels of warmth, exceptional comfort and a small pack size. Our VerdictMountain Equipment’s Aerostat Synthetic 9.0 Wide Long Sleeping Mat, utilises patented construction techniques from Exped who as we know already make some of the best sleeping mats out there. The Mountain Equipment mats use the best bits from Exped’s designs such as the valve to inflate and deflate the mat, they have then used materials specific to their target end-user. You get a 30 denier fabric on these mats, making them more durable and puncture resistant than other mats we sell. This makes them a bit heavier overall, but it might be a price worth paying if you’re off on an extended trek or if you can’t guarantee you always be camping on smooth(ish) ground. The integrated Windsock and stuff sack enables easy inflation without getting moisture inside the mat. The Windsock has been updated to make it easier to use inside a tent – it’s now shorter and wider. A definite improvement on the previous version.- Reviewed by Ultralight Outdoor GearFeaturesWelded 160g Polarloft insulation for maximum insulationVertically aligned baffles30D ripstop polyester with TPU lamination2-way self-sealing Gas Mask valve for inflation and deflationSupplied Windsock inflates mat easily and doubles as lightweight stuff sackSupplied with repair kitR Value: 4.0, tested to ASTM F3340100% Polyester, Polyester fillSpecificationsWeight: 747g (excludes bag/windsock)Bag/windsock weighs:Length: 200cmWidth: 65cmThickness: 9cmASTM R-Value: 4.0ME Warmth guide: -25C/-13FASTM R-Value:From 2020, there is a new industry standard for measuring the R-value (level of insulation) of sleeping mats ASTM F3340-18. This new standard is the sleeping mat equivalent to the EN rating for sleeping bags. You can now directly compare the R-value of mats rated using the ASTM F3340-18 with confidence that is a fair and accurate comparison between mats. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the warmer the mat.In general terms, an R-value below 2.0 is for summer use, 2.0 to 4.0 is for cooler 3 season use and 4.0 is for winter temperatures. This will be also be dependent on your sleeping bag, how cold you sleep etc. Please contact our customer service team if you need advice on choosing the right mat for your activity.Help & advice:The Ultimate Guide to Choosing an Ultralight Sleeping MatTime-Saver Guide to Choosing a Sleeping MatR-Value Explained
