Our VerdictThis super cosy down jacket is perfect for chilly mornings, breaking camp or on cooler evenings when you are off for a post-hike meal. It’s not something I would do strenuous hiking in, as it would quickly become too hot, but it’s fantastic for dog walks or just keeping the chill off on local walks. However, it will always be in my pack on any multiday hike; the instant warmth the jacket gives makes it perfect when you stop moving and don’t want your core temperature to drop. The anti-freeze has two hand-warming pockets and an internal chest pocket that can be zipped to keep valuables safe. The hood fits well and also adds an extra bit of warmth should you need it.
