Its an active fit, so it will sit close to your body, perfect if you are scrambling or climbing; the fleece wont hinder you by getting in the way.This jacket has a classic soft shell feel to it but the inner design certainly steps away from that. With a raised pattern, the inner provides a similar effect to grid fleeces by trapping air and improving temperature regulation in both warm and cold conditions.With the hood up, you get an added layer of insulation, but you also get the benefits of wind resistance; the double-weave doesnt dampen sound, which some harder shells often do.The fleece has three large pockets, two large hand-warming pockets and one Napoleon chest pocket; all are of a generous size, and all have a zip closure for safety.
