The addition of activated carbon made a noticeable differenceon the Kinder plateau, where the water had a strong peaty tang, it mellowed things out beautifully. It’s a minor upgrade that pays off over time.The flow rate is quick, and the EZ-Clean membrane lives up to its namejust a quick swish in clean water, and it’s as good as new. The setup is refreshingly low-fuss: the soft flask folds neatly, and the flip-cap feels solid and leak-proof.Theres also a black version available, which isn’t just a cosmetic choicethe bottles noticeably more rugged, though it adds a few extra grams. A fair trade if you want something tougher for rougher use.The carbon insert does need swapping every couple of months, but its optional.
