It firmly falls into the ultralight camp, yet still feels protective and usable thanks to the soft, quiet GORE-TEX ePE fabric and C-KNIT backer. The breathability is good for a three-layer, though I found the underarm vents essential when working harder. The fit is neat and athletic, with just enough room for a light midlayer underneath, and all the adjustability youd expect is there without feeling overbuilt.
