At 343g (size M), its not the lightest layer, but the comfort and versatility more than make up for it. The blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester, and spandex gives it a soft, broken-in feel with enough stretch to move freely, whether scrambling over rocks or rolling up my sleeves to pitch camp. It dries faster than youd expect from something cotton-based and does a decent job of resisting creases when packed. The whole button front is handy for venting, and I like that the cuffs roll and fasten easily.
