The small and the large version are both almost square whereas the 14 m2 version is more rectangular in shape offering numerous options for use in almost any situation depending on location and weather. Use it for instance separately either as an alternative to a tent or to add extra protected space to your camp or use it to extend the dry area of your tent, depending on the shape and size.Our VerdictThe Voss SI Tarp from Nordisk is a top quality tarp that’s amazingly versatile for shelter. There are a multitude of points to peg, pole of guy so you can get the best coverage for the conditions. There are 10 guy lines pre-attached which is awesome for straight out the bag use. The storage bag has 11 ideas drawn on for different way to pitch the tarp and this helps with understanding just how versatile it is. The main points are really well reinforced and have pockets for poles to sit in making it much easier to put up quickly or in challenging conditions.The Voss 9 gets it’s name from the 9m2 area it covers and it has certainly been big enough for small group outings as a communal area, shelter from the sun and rain, along with it making a great usable space when in a bivy. This is the SI version which means that it is nylon treated with silicone on both sides.
